Dr. Lawrence Wengle is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in upper extremity surgery, with a clinical focus on shoulder arthroscopy and reconstruction. His practice includes the management of complex upper limb disorders, minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques, and advanced reconstructive procedures for patients with degenerative and traumatic conditions.
Dr. Wengle received his medical degree from University College Cork in Ireland before completing residency training in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Toronto, where he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC).
Following residency, he completed two years of subspecialty fellowship training in Upper Extremity and Sports Medicine, which included work at North Shore Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand, St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Toronto, and the University of Toronto Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Program (UTOSM), based primarily at Toronto Western Hospital.
